Attractive Product – Simple – Yet POOR DESIGN

Let me first say, I actually bought three of 3 (three) of these products all at about the same time. This is an attractive product. Once it is installed it works ok. It is satisfactory in performance.

Installation is a royal pain.

The gate is attached to the side walls on two rail brackets. The gate slides into the rail brackets that are secured to the walls. The gates actually DO NOT SLIDE UP OR DOWN. They are impossible to slide onto the brackets. I had to force the gate into the bracket so hard, that I tore the bracket out of the wall. I don’t think it will be possible to ever actually get the gate out of the bracket again. I am a strong person and it took all my force to get it to slide on the bracket (with WD-40). When speaking with customer service, even they acknowledged that it “sticks a little”. Maybe I got a bad batch.
